As a professional in the fashion industry for over 27 years, I’ve lost count of how many times a young model has asked me what to pack in her modeling bag. There are so many options and items you may want to put into your bag, but here is how to pack your modeling bag with essentials.

Bring your professional materials.

• This includes an updated portfolio of your work.

• You should also have your comp card.

Pack versatile heels.

• Bring a pair of black heels you can walk in.

• Also bring a pair of nude heels you can walk in.

Don’t forget undergarments!

• You should have a few options to work with different wardrobe pieces.

• Undergarments shouldn't distract from the wardrobe for your shoot.

Bring stockings.

• Nude stockings are best.
